The Windows 7 'Browser Ballot

If you don't even know what a browser is then how can you choose which Web browser you want to install?
When users first get Microsoft's Windows 7 then Microsoft will offer a choice of up to ten Web browsers to install to Windows 7 users. Now a question arises that how to get this so-called 'Ballot Screen'?

The answer is that simply ask a user what's important to them when using the Internet.

Because most of the browsers offer same features like good browser speed, tabs, compatibility with modern Web sites, so, a list of key selling points is not enough to quickly point someone towards the most suitable browser choice.

So, 'Ballot Screen' is what we suggest. Ballot Screen presents a short series of simple questions to decide what features or characteristics are most important to someone choosing a Web browser. Windows would suggest the most relevant browser, based on the answers given questions.

For example, are you interested in changing the look and feel of your browser to suit your personal needs? Do you simply want a good browser speed than all available browsers?

A user would just click 'Yes' or 'No' to vote against each of these questions and then press OK. Now depending on the user's answers for the questions, Windows will suggest an Internet Browser and explain some of the features of that Browser.

Microsoft's main concern was that PC users should have a choice between available Web browsers in the market.
